FROM CDO TO BANGKOK: Licean Music Student Represents PH in Asia–France Sonic Bridge Training
Eeyan
Paolo R. Nacasabog, a third-year Bachelor of Music in Composition student of
Liceo de Cagayan University, made his mark on the international stage after
being selected to join the Sonic Bridge: Asia–France Live Sound Training
Exchange in Bangkok, Thailand.
The
training was conducted in three rounds held on June 23–27, September 1–5, and
September 15–19, 2025, bringing together participants from Cambodia, Indonesia,
Malaysia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines. The program, funded by
the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and supported by Yamaha-DACC,
offered intensive live sound engineering sessions led by experts from CFPTS
(Centre National de Formation Professionnelle aux Techniques du Spectacle).
For
Eeyan, the experience was nothing short of transformative. “This was more than
just training. It was a turning point for me both personally and
professionally,” he shared. From mastering technical fundamentals to working
with world-class audio equipment, the Licean musician gained practical skills
and confidence that he now brings back to his community.
His
participation not only highlights his own dedication as a young artist but also
reflects the strength of Liceo de Cagayan University’s Conservatory of Music in
preparing students to thrive in global opportunities. It affirms the
university’s vision of developing creative and competitive Liceans who can
stand out on international platforms.
In
a time when many young artists dream of breaking barriers, Eeeyan's achievement
proves that with passion, training, and the right support, Liceans can go far,
from the classrooms of Cagayan de Oro to the sound stages of Southeast Asia.
Adelante,
Licean!
