LICEO U JOINS 56TH ASEAN MONTH CELEBRATION

Liceo de Cagayan University joins the nation in celebrating the ASEAN MONTH to commemorate the founding of the Association of Southeast Nations – a regional intergovernmental organization that promotes cooperation and integration among its ten member nations in Southeast Asia.

Throughout the nation, all government agencies, especially the Department of Education and the Commission on Higher Education, hold various activities to heighten the Filipino people’s awareness of the importance, value, and meaning of the ASEAN in achieving and maintaining regional peace and sustainable development. This 56th ASEAN Month Celebration is themed “ASEAN Matters: Epicentrum of Growth.”

Early morning of today (August 25), a Licean contingent organized by the Liceo Internationalization Office took part in a motorcade around the city and in a program held at the gymnasium of Capitol University.

The program, which was participated in by all higher education institutions in the region as exhibitors, showcased the ASEAN member nations' traditional dances, wear, and food. CHEDRO 10 spearheaded the holding of the activities.
