FACULTY MEMBERS ENHANCE TEACHING STRATEGIES THROUGH UDL TRAINING

Bringing
with them their expertise and professional teaching experiences, the Higher
Education and Senior High School faculty members took part in the university’s
first Institutional Faculty Development Program (FDP) for the academic year on
September 10, 2025. This pilot training session highlighted the integration of
Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles into the curriculum.
With
diverse fields of specialization represented, participants were grouped by
college and engaged in collaborative learning tasks. These included exploring
how UDL can be applied in syllabus design, selecting effective instructional
strategies, and implementing inclusive assessments.
The
session was facilitated by Dr. Maribeth M. Cabrejas, esteemed faculty member of
the School of Teacher Education Graduate School, who shared her expertise on
fostering inclusive and flexible learning environments.
