Where Music Meets the Mind

de Cagayan University proudly hosted the academic forum "The Cognitive
Neuroscience of Music and the Brain" last July 9, 2025, at the Rodelsa
Theater.
Keynote
speaker Dr. Rey P. Roa, a distinguished neuroscientist and educator known for
his pioneering work on brain-based learning and music cognition, shared
insights on how music influences brain development, memory, and emotional
health, bridging science, emotion, and artistry.
This
initiative by Dr. Rudolf P. Golez, Vice President for External, Cultural, and
Alumni Affairs, was successfully executed through the Office of the Vice
President for Academic Affairs, highlighting Liceo U’s commitment to
interdisciplinary learning and cultural leadership.
