Promoting fire safety awareness among the community, Station 6 Kauswagan Fire Station, under the Cagayan de Oro Fire District and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Region 10, organized an Open House and Fire Square Roadshow at the Liceo Civic Center on April 2, 2024.
The event drew participants from different LDCU departments, including the Junior High School, represented by the GSP (Girl Scouts of the Philippines), BSP (Boy Scouts of the Philippines), LJHSC (Liceo Junior High Student Council), class presidents, and class vice presidents, who aimed to explore all the stations in the LCC grounds offering valuable insights into fire safety measures.
The stations gave participants the opportunity to engage in hands-on tasks that simulated real-life scenarios.
"The Open House Fire Square Show provided not only valuable information about the do's and don'ts when it comes to emergencies that include fire, but also provided entertainment that helped us obtain education much better through having fun," said Denisse Delos Reyes, LJHSC Vice President Internal.
