LICEO U JOINS 2025 PHILIPPINE-GERMAN LANGUAGE TEACHERS CONFERENCE
Liceo de Cagayan University took a significant step forward in advancing its language programs by participating in the 2025 Philippine-German Language Teachers Conference held on May 23–24 in Salcedo Village, Makati City. Representing the university were faculty members Jasmin C. Lagumbay, Anjenet G. Labor, Hezron A. Daba, Rose Jean L. Taypin, Erika Jane T. Constantino, and Christian Gem A. Blanela.
With the theme “German as a Foreign Language in Transition: Actively Shaping Diversity,” this year’s conference brought together educators from across the country to explore modern approaches to teaching German and highlight the importance of diversity and inclusion in language education.
The two-day event featured a wide range of workshops on topics such as multimedia integration, classroom communication strategies, and digital learning resources. To maximize learning opportunities, sessions were held simultaneously across multiple venues.
The event was organized by the DAAD Lektorat Philippinen, Goethe-Institut Philippinen, the German-European School Manila, and the German Section of the Department of European Languages at the University of the Philippines Diliman, under the patronage of the German Embassy Manila.
This participation provided Liceo’s delegates with new insights and tools to enrich their German language instruction, reinforcing the University’s commitment to continuous faculty development and delivering quality education aligned with global standards.
