Liceo U, City Government Ink MOA for Community Extension Programs
Liceo
de Cagayan University, through its Office of Extension and Service Learning
(OESL), formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the City Government of
Cagayan de Oro and the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) on September
11, 2025, to strengthen community extension initiatives for the benefit of the
Cagay-anon community.
The
agreement was signed in the presence of Mayor Rolando “Klarex” Uy and Vice
Mayor Jocelyn Rodriguez, underscoring the importance of collaboration between
the academe and the local government in expanding public service, compassion,
and community empowerment.
OESL
Director Salm Kairo Dumanlag represented Liceo during the signing ceremony,
highlighting the University’s commitment to advancing its extension programs in
partnership with the city government.
This
collaboration aims to create a wider impact through sustainable community
service programs, reflecting the University’s mission of service and the city
government’s thrust toward inclusive development.
