UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAM

 

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BSP)

 The Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is a four-year degree program with a total of 185 credit units. The program offers a good mix of general education courses, which have relevant applications in the profession of pharmacy, and professional courses, which will help students acquire the necessary work competencies. Foundation courses in pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutics, and life sciences will help students understand pharmaceutical product development and its applications in pharmacy practice. Additionally, the program includes a 1,200-hour internship. Students are assigned to affiliated CHED-accredited establishments.  Interns will be exposed to a variety of opportunities in practice areas to prepare them for the various roles that they will assume upon graduation.

Graduates of the BS Pharmacy program may pursue a career in any of the following areas of pharmacy practice:

  13. Government Service (Department of Health, Food and Drug Administration, PhilHealth, Professional Regulation Commission, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, Dangerous Drugs Board, and others),

  16. Institutional Pharmacy (non-pharmaceutical establishments with pharmacy clinics, such as those in the Supreme Court, San Miguel Corp, GSIS, etc).
