Young Liceans Win Multiple Medals at Koala Excellence Olympiad Global Round 2026

Liceo de Cagayan University celebrates another milestone in academic excellence as young Liceans Shawn Stuart Uy and Zion Stuart Uy garnered multiple awards at the Koala Excellence Olympiad Global Round 2026, bringing pride to the University through their outstanding performances in international academic competitions.

Competing in the Grade 5–6 Category, Shawn Stuart Uy earned a Gold Medal in English, a Silver Medal in Science, and the 2nd Place Overall Trophy in Science, securing the Overall Rank No. 2 among participants in his category.

Meanwhile, Zion Stuart Uy, who competed in the Kindergarten–Grade 2 Category, received a Bronze Medal in Mathematics and a Silver Medal in Science, demonstrating exceptional academic potential at an early age.

The achievements of Shawn and Zion reflect their dedication, perseverance, and passion for learning, while also highlighting the unwavering support of their parents, teachers, and mentors who continue to nurture excellence both inside and outside the classroom.
