EDTECH CENTER, OVP-HR HOLD AI TRAINING ON GOOGLE GEMINI FOR TEACHING

By: Hezron A. Daba

Focusing on the strategic use of Google Gemini to strengthen instructional competence, the Educational Technology Center, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Human Resources (OVP-HR), successfully conducted the second session of its AI Training Series on February 7, 2026. The activity brought together over 20 faculty members from various colleges and departments, demonstrating the University’s continued commitment to innovative and technology-driven teaching.

Designed as a hands-on seminar-workshop, the training combined lectures with guided demonstrations through structured “Blueprint Activities.” During these collaborative exercises, participants used Google Gemini to develop assessment tools, refine and enhance their course syllabi, and create instructional visuals using prompts.

Dr. Marco Marvin L. Rado, Educational Technology Center Director and Dean of the College of Information Technology, facilitated the training session.
