Enrollment Process for Foreign Students

A practical guide to University enrollment, admission credentials, and immigration-related documentary requirements for international applicants.

Enrollment Steps

Complete each published step and bring the required documents to the designated University office.

Internationalization Office

Receive advising and an initial evaluation of your foreign documents.

Online Enrollment

Visit www.liceo.edu.ph and select ENROLL NOW.

Choose your department and complete the Google Form.

Admissions Office

Complete the Enrollment Process Indicator Form (EPIF), Student Profile Form, and Waiver Form, then submit the credentials applicable to your admission type.

For Freshmen

Pay the required down payment.

Complete the evaluation and loading of subjects to be enrolled.

Proceed with the processing of your school ID.

On Enrollment

Enrollment is subject to University admission requirements and the applicable regulations of CHED and the Bureau of Immigration.

  1. Foreign students may enroll in an undergraduate or graduate program upon submission of a Permit to Study or Student Visa 9(f) and compliance with the requirements of CHED, the Bureau of Immigration, and the University.
  2. Other course requirements must be completely satisfied, subject to the approval of the University.
  3. After meeting all admission requirements, the applicant receives a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility for submission to the Bureau of Immigration Manila District Office and CHED.

Requirements for Acceptance

Foreign students shall submit the following documents.

Notarized Affidavit of Support Required supporting document
Authenticated Scholastic Records Authenticated by the Philippine Foreign Service Post
Passport Data Page Photocopy of the foreign student’s passport data page
Medical Certificate Required health document
Police Clearance or Report Required after a six-month stay

Checklist for Special Study Permit (SSP)

Prepare the following documentary requirements for the application.

  1. Letter request addressed to the Commissioner from the representative of the petitioning school
  2. Duly accomplished CGAF (BI Form CGAF-003-Rev 0). If the applicant is a minor, it shall be signed by the parent or legal guardian
  3. Photocopy of the passport bio-page and latest admission with valid authorized stay
  4. Certificate of Acceptance issued by a learning institution accredited by the Bureau of Immigration to accept foreign students, indicating the number of months or length of study for technical, vocational, special, primary, or secondary-level courses for applicants below 18 years of age
  5. Photocopy of the BI school accreditation ID of the registrar or school representative
  6. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance, in the case of flying schools

Visa and Period-of-Stay Requirements

Review the eligibility and documentary requirements applicable to student-visa conversion and extension of stay.

Conversion to Student Visa

Foreign students must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have sufficient support for education
  • Have entered the country temporarily solely to take up a course of study higher than high school
  • Not belong to any class of excluded foreign nationals and have no ground for deportation or exit against the foreign student
  • Have submitted and complied with all documentary requirements through the higher education institution

Documents to be submitted by the foreign student or HEI

  1. Written endorsement signed by the School Registrar with the school’s dry seal
  2. Joint letter request using the school letterhead with dry seal
  3. Duly accomplished Consolidated General Application Form (BI Form CGAF-003-Rev 0)
  4. Photocopy of Passport
  5. Original Notice of Acceptance (NOA) with a clear impression of the school’s dry seal
  6. Original Certificate of Eligibility for Graduation issued by CHED for Medicine and Dentistry
  7. Police Clearance
  8. Photocopy of Bureau of Immigration School Accreditation ID
  9. Bureau of Immigration Clearance Certificate

Extension of Period of Stay

The foreign student or HEI shall submit the following documents:

  1. Joint letter request using the school letterhead and dry seal
  2. Duly accomplished Consolidated General Application Form (BI Form CGAF-003-Rev 0)
  3. Photocopy of Passport
  4. Transcript of Records for the two previous semesters
  5. Certificate of Enrolment signed by the Registrar with dry seal
  6. Certificate of Honorable Dismissal from the previous school for transferees
  7. CHED Endorsement in case of shifting or transfer
  8. Original Certificate of Eligibility for Graduation
  9. Photocopy of BI School Accreditation ID
  10. NBI Clearance
  11. NBI Clearance Certificate
