Collections & Facilities
Periodical Section
The Periodical Section is the current “Information Powerhouse,” where journals, magazines, newspapers, government publications, and other serial literature are available. These materials are for inside reading only or may be borrowed for photocopying within the Library.
Electronic journals may be accessed from any internet connection on or off campus. Students may search for and download articles. Complete volumes of print periodicals are bound and arranged on shelves, while loose issues are placed on display shelves.
Audio-visual materials are for Library and classroom instruction use only. Students may use them upon presenting a recommendation or note from their teacher to the IMC Librarian, subject to the approval of the Director of Libraries and IMC.
Multimedia/Internet Center
Students can connect globally through the internet, which provides a rich and rapidly expanding storehouse of information for research work.
Viewing Room
The 50-seat Viewing Room is intended for viewing audio-visual materials. Reserve the facility at the Instructional Media Center three days before use by signing the reservation form. The form must be signed by the faculty member, department head, and Director of Libraries and IMC.
Archive Section
This section houses permanent University records, including administrative profiles, history, achievements, the institution’s origin, and special collections such as rare books, artifacts, pictures, and charts. These resources are strictly for Library use.
Exhibit Room
The Exhibit Room displays artwork by artists from within and outside the University. Students, faculty members, and external institutions that wish to use the room should coordinate with the Director of Libraries and IMC.
Technical Services
This section handles selection and acquisition, cataloging, indexing, bibliography, and binding.

Other Services
Newly Acquired Resources
The Library publishes and distributes lists of newly acquired materials to the different departments. A copy is posted on the bulletin board and online through Destiny Quest.
Library Instruction
The Library offers orientation and instructional lectures to students and faculty members at the beginning of every semester, with follow-up sessions throughout the school year in coordination with faculty members and the Library Committee.
Suggestion Corner
Faculty and student queries and suggestions may be addressed personally or through the online help desk. All readers are given the Library URL so they can access materials and information using a mobile phone or laptop on or off campus.
Photocopy Services
A photocopy machine is available on the first floor from Monday to Saturday, 8:30 AM–7:00 PM.
Research Consultation Area
This space provides students and faculty members with a formal area to meet with the Reader’s Services Librarian and address in-depth research questions.
Charging Area
Library users may charge gadgets free of charge for a maximum of one (1) hour per unit.

IT Support
Wi-Fi Services
Follow the wireless LAN setup and login procedure on the website to connect a notebook or mobile device to the Liceo U Wi-Fi network. Register the electronic unit with the Liceonet Department.
Off-campus Access
Most e-resources may be accessed off campus through the Liceo U Library URL using a Destiny system username and password. Create a personal account with Library staff assistance or register using an official barcode ID number or last name.

Seminars/Workshops
Learn how to make strategic and effective use of information resources by attending Library seminars.
Discussion Room
The Library provides a well-ventilated and comfortable space for group discussions, presentations, and collaborative research. The room can accommodate a maximum of twenty-five (25) students.
