The Academic Scholarship Program is open to qualified students who excel academically and maintain the standards prescribed by the University.

Applications are evaluated according to the required documents, eligibility conditions, scholarship coverage, available slots, and renewal guidelines established by the University.

A Clear Path Forward

Application Procedure

Follow the published process and coordinate with the appropriate University offices for evaluation and approval.

Secure the Form

Obtain the Academic Scholarship Application Form from the Registrar’s Office or download it through the official link.

Prepare the Documents

Complete the form and prepare all documents required in the scholarship guidelines.

Registrar Verification

Submit the application to the Registrar’s Office for verification and signature.

College Evaluation

Present the verified application to the appropriate College Dean for review and action.

Submit to VPAA

Submit the complete and endorsed documents to the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Screening and Approval

The Scholarship Committee screens applications and forwards qualified applications for approval and posting of results.

July 15th Processing and screening for continuing scholars.
First Week of August Posting of the approved list of scholars.

Full Academic Scholarship

Coverage

  • 100% of all school fees
  • Free cloth for school uniform
  • Free books through a refund system

Duration

Evaluated and granted per semester.

Entry Requirements

  • Overall highest and second-highest graduates from National High Schools and recognized feeder schools may be eligible.
  • The top five graduates from all strands of Liceo U Senior High School are automatically eligible.
  • Examinees who obtain a score of 95% and above may receive a 100% scholarship on tuition and laboratory fees only.
  • Qualified scholars may enroll in any course offered by the University.

Renewal Guidelines

  • Renewal and evaluation are conducted every semester.
  • The grantee must maintain a General Weighted Average of 1.00 to 1.20.
Half Academic Scholarship

Coverage

50% of tuition fees only.

Duration

Evaluated and granted per semester.

Entry Requirements

  • Examinees who obtain a score of 90% to 94% may qualify.
  • Qualified scholars may enroll in any course offered by the University.

Renewal Guidelines

  • Renewal and evaluation are conducted every semester.
  • The scholar must maintain a General Weighted Average of 1.21 to 1.40.
Special Scholarship

Coverage and Duration

  • 100% of tuition fees only
  • Up to four years, subject to scholarship rules and renewal requirements

Entry Requirements

  • The applicant must have a high-school General Weighted Average of at least 85%.
  • The applicant must enroll in one of the identified programs listed below.

Renewal Guidelines

  • The student must maintain a General Weighted Average of at least 1.70 and must have no failing grade.
  • After one year, the student may apply for academic or non-academic scholarships in succeeding years.

Coverage

25% discount on tuition fees only.

One school year.

Guidelines

  • The grantee must have completed Basic Education at Liceo de Cagayan University.
  • The applicant must carry the regular curriculum load and must not have any dropped, failing, or incomplete grade in any semester.
  • The student may apply for academic or non-academic scholarships in succeeding years.
