To provide serious local artists with the experience of a world-class concert hall and visiting world-class artists with adequate facilities for their performance thus supporting and celebrating excellence in the performing arts.

To support and celebrate excellence in the performing arts by being the premier Cultural Center for the Performing Arts in Southern Philippines .

Facilities

The Rodelsa Hall is situated at Rodolfo N. Pelaez Boulevard, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City, in the Philippines. Rodelsa Hall is operated by the Liceo de Cagayan University and prides herself with a facility that marks a genuine learning institution. It is the cultural center for the performing arts and host to numerous campus cultural activities.

The Rodelsa Hall is built along classic architectural lines employed on her facade. A world-class, state-of-the-art concert hall capable of accommodating a total seating capacity of 700, divided into two levels: balcony and orchestra seats. At stage level there are two star dressing rooms with wash rooms. Safety measures are in place with multiple ramps for wheelchairs and strategic fire exit ways.

The Rodelsa Hall is fully air conditioned with a professional stage and orchestra pit. Professional musicians and instrumentalists will discover a whole new experience at the Rodelsa Hall with a world-class professional light and sound system, furnished with a Concert Grand Grotrian Steinweg Piano and a secondary Parlor Grand.

The Rodelsa Hall will make your every moment a treasured experience.

Light Information

The Liceo Theater House is equipt with Strand 200 series lighting control console. A 24/28 manual memory. The console patch is a single universe of DMX-512 and can contain up to 24 effects (99 steps) - (6 effects X 4 pages). A submaster can be recorded for every fader and advanced features such as Audio/Midi are available.

CONCERT COURTESY
Attending a concert, a ballet, a play or any other performing arts presentation is a special occasion. To help you get the most enjoyment and satisfaction from attending such performances and to help others get the same benefit, the following suggestions on proper behavior at such events are offered. Observing them will greatly enhance the experience.
  • Come on time or better still, come with some minutes to spare. This will give you ample time to find your seat, browse through the program or playbill and settle down and become comfortable with the surroundings. If a late arrival is unavoidable, do not insist on going up to the front of the house in the midst of the performance. Wait at the rear and find your seat during intermission.
  • Please make sure that all alarm watches, cellular phones, electric beepers are turned off or put on mute or vibra mode as these maye interfere with the sound system and the incessant “beep” is distracting.
  • Try to avoid conversations, even in whispers during a performance. Save any comments until the end of the number. The conversational buzz may irritate the rest of the audience or may distract the performer.
  • Avoid standing, moving around, fidgeting, finding your seat or exiting while a performance is going on.
    You owe the performing artists who have worked very hard to perfect their craft, the courtesy of your full attention.
  • Children who are likely to become restless at such performances should not be brought at all. They are likely to annoy not only your seatmates but the artists as well.
  • If you want to take photographs of the artists during a performance, s\it should be best to clear the matter with the show manager. Flash photography will divert the artist’s concentration
  • Do not scream or whistle. Appreciation is best expressed by shouts of “Bravo” at the very end of the performance or in between appropriate breaks. Strong and prolonged applause suggest to the performer that the audience wants an encore. Performers appreciate a responsive and appreciative audience.
