Offers courses for people who have a more limited time frame to achieve their career goals. It was established to provide a variety of subjects that would cater to the personal and professionals growth needs of adults in the workplace or elsewhere.
Services and Program
The first course launched in November 2006 was the TESDA registered 6 - months Medical Transcription program. ( Earlier, the 6 - months International Caregiver course was also offered. )
The foreign language courses ( Nihonggo and Spanish ) are currently being applied for at TESDA.
Seminar - workshops on various current trends such as supervisory development, entrepreneurship, executive leadership, English proficiency and the like are also being worked out with various Licean units.
The Institute also accepts applicants for the PGMA Finishing Course for Medical Transcription, NC Level II, which lasts for only 160 hours. This scholarship program is funded through TESDA and is worth P10,000.
Admission Requirements
Admission to any of the Institute's programs or courses may vary depending upon the current and prevailing government regulations.
Prospective students are responsible for taking due diligence to inquire about their course requirements from the University Registrar or from the Director, Institute of Short Studies.
