Liceo Center for Community Development
Community development continues to be one of the government's concerns especially among the far flung areas or the marginalized sectors of the society. Statistics shows that majority of the Philippines populace in the rural areas are still being affordable limited urban - based services and resources of the government.

As a university, it is our mission to carry out equally the three-pronged functions which are instructions, research, and community extension. These are essential in achieving the mission of service, uplifting the lives of the poor, and addressing concerns such as literacy, poor economic growth, lack of food, and peace and security.

Liceo de Cagayan University, true to its vision and mision and goals, firmly believes in the development of the community through the capabilities of the faculty, students, staff, and alumni to reach out the underprivileged communities by providing them with effective continuing education, livelihood skills, and training opportunities as ways of enhancing the level of the people's productivity.

The Liceo Center for Community Development has been created to centralize the efforts of the institute through an institutional approach for community development. In this line, the Liceo administration, faculty, students, and staff participate in the program and projects that have been established and developed by the university beyond the campus in order to enhance experiential learning, community involvement, social consciousness, and generate a feeling that responds to the concerns of others.

Through community involvement, the students are expected to develop within themselves a special concern and respect for others, thereby serving as catalysts who will continually change the lives of the people in the development of various communities.

The extension programs and projects of the university are coordinated with university's Vice President for Academic Affairs, Academic Council for Instruction, and the Research and Planning Office.
