Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE)
Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. It is the oldest engineering discipline after military engineering.
It is traditionally broken into several sub-disciplines including environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, materials engineering, coastal engineering, surveying, and construction engineering.
The profession is people-oriented; communication and community involvement are integral parts of the everyday experience of the civil engineer. They work to satisfy societal needs for shelter, transportation, and industry. They are involved in planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance of public works and industrial projects.
